This is our 3d printed rc crawler crane ,the files for this are available on cults website ,
it is a very detailed model and very large ,i was a bit apprehensive as to whether it would have any strenght in the jibs but these have proved unfounded it is very rigid construction ,some thing have been redone using aluminium and steel like the slew ring and other parts just to give me more confidence ,
the ballast necaserry to operate it is quite substancial the ballest boxes are filled with lead and steel and average 1.3kilo each x10
we have lifted upto 2 kilo not realy going to push this anymore ,
there are a lot of parts to print and the build while challenging at times was very straight forward the detail is fantastic and has created a imprssive model and has been very good at seeing what 3d prints can acheive.
